3 ways to create new content quickly

Most marketers know what needs to be done to succeed at content marketing. The trouble is it takes a lot of time – time many marketers don’t have. If you feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day to do content marketing, here are three ways to produce quality content quickly.

Guest bloggers

In exchange for a shout out or a link to their site, many writers will be happy to produce blog posts for your site free of charge. Some may be willing to become a guest blogger to help boost their professional profile as a writer.

The easiest way to attract guest bloggers is to advertise the opportunity on your site.

But if you’re still looking for contributors, a quick Google search will throw up plenty of online forums and social media groups with writers looking for guest blogging opportunities. Sites like BlogDash and BloggerLinkUp are a good place to start.

Of course, you’ll have to ensure guest blogs are of high enough quality to be published.

To ensure quality and consistency, we send our guest blog guidelines to contributors before they start writing. These guidelines cover basic things such as:

  • Rules for links
  • Paragraph and heading format
  • General style
  • Best practice

Bad content is worse than no content at all so guidelines like these are important if using guest bloggers. Also, if possible, check out other examples of the blogger's work to check the quality.

Infographic tools

As mentioned in a previous blog post, internet searches for infographics have increased by more than 800% in the last two years.

Using a broad range of content formats will keep visitors engaged and interested. The trouble is, some content formats take longer to create than others.

Infographics might seem like a time consuming content format but tools like Canva and easelly allow you to create attractive infographics quickly and easily.

Instead of having to learn how to use advanced tools like Photoshop and InDesign, you can present important information in a visually attractive way without having to spend too much time.

Whilst you probably can't do this everyday, it's a good tool to have when running low on content.

Recycle old content

Ok, this is a bit of a cheat, but it’s a valuable one!

As long as the content is still relevant and useful, why not share it again?

Use Google Analytics to determine what content has resonated with visitors in the past and give it a refresh. If possible, update your posts with up-to-date stats and data to keep it current.

Updating old posts can be highly valuable for SEO. Whilst not strictly new, recycling old content is highly valuable for a marketer who's pressed for time.
